This week is School Social Workers Week and the Mahopac Central School District is deeply grateful for the invaluable contributions of its School Social Workers. Today is National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day and the Mahopac CSD recognizes its School Resource Officers and School Special Patrol Officers along with our security staff from Briger Security. They are superb role models and keep students and staff safe every day.
February's Regular Board of Education Meeting and Public Hearing on Tax Exemptions has been rescheduled from February 13th, 2024 to February 15th, 2024.

Mahopac High School's Interact Club, in collaboration with with the Lake Mahopac Rotary Club, concluded their winter coat drive after months of work. The Mahopac community came together to contribute over 500 winter coats to those who need them. Thank you to everyone who donated!
This week, Mahopac recognizes the unique contribution of school counselors to students' education and development. Mahopac's Counseling Department is a constant, reliable, and positive presence in our students' lives throughout their years at Mahopac Schools.

Tomorrow’s elementary half-day will now be a full day.

Earlier this month, the Mahopac Music Department's low brass section went to 50th annual Tuba Christmas. Cassian Fabbie, Connor Lowery, Cameron Dinsmore, Andrew Brunetti, Joaquin Martinez, Maxine Van Nortwick, Keria Kadan, and Cooper Grimm accompanied by band teacher Rich Williams played with 300 other musicians at the Rockefeller center in New York City. Congratulations to our low brass musicians.

The Board of Education recently adopted the 2023-2024 School Budget which carries a 4.15% budget to budget increase and a 2.81% tax levy increase which is tax cap compliant. Please remember to vote on May 16, 2023 from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. at Mahopac High School.
The second annual SEPTO Together We Thrive Awards event took place last week at Sycamore Park. Families, administration, Board Of Education members and Officers from the Carmel Police Dept. were all invited to this celebration of all the incredible accomplishments of teachers, staff and students.
